Wild: Distiller Offers Pardoned White House Turkeys a Job: After turkeys “Liberty” and “Peace” are pardoned today at the White House, they are immediately destined for retirement at the Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens. But at least one American employer wants to put them to work. The producers of Wild Turkey Bourbon in Lawrenceburg, Ky., say they’ve reached out to the White House asking permission to make the twins their official “spokesbirds.”
